LANSLEY TAKES SECOND TITLE AS LUKE MAYES CHOKES

Week 7 Champion Paul Lansley

This week saw 5 courts being occupied in what was to be the longest lasting championships in the BSTC history.

With competitors Simon Hardie, Daniel Mayes, Ian Raftery, Luke Mayes, Eamonn Martin Jnr, Simon Mayes, Paul Lansley, Eamonn Martin Snr, Jenny Gray & Eamonn Martin Snr competing, this was always going to be a tough one no matter what the draw threw up.

Luke Mayes was on top form again beating Jenny Gray 6 - 0 then playing world number 3 Ian Raftery and winning very easily 6 - 2 in 20 Minutes, he then played Ahmed Ibrahim a match which would decide the fate of this weeks championship, Luke started very poorly and Ahmed capitalized on this taking it to his opponent and he really did, Luke found himself at 3 - 3 with 5 minutes remaining and then stepped up his game to win 5 - 3 but with this result only taking 3 points from the full 5 that was on offer, Ahmed Ibrahim shocked the world with this result sending out wild celebrations around the tennis world and stating himself as a player in the making that now will surly go on to greater things.

Luke Mayes chocked badly this week and by only taking 3 points handing the title to Paul Lansley who rained in the fame again taking his second title and the prized Easter egg, Paul came through some stern challenges beating Eamonn Martin Jnr 6 - 2 then beating his dad Eamonn Martin Snr 6 - 0 and then the all important match against Daniel Mayes 6 - 4.

Congratulations Paul Lansley for taking week 7's prized title.
